Embattled Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pleaded guilty today to charges resulting from a sex scandal and is to resign from office, a prosecutor said. Try as hard as you like but a fan cannot live by scifi alone. That's the only explanation we have for the fact that we're all secretly also addicted to non-SF shows. But even while we watch these shows, there's a little voice in the back of our head that asks, wouldn't it be better if they all had lasers and space ships?

Decide for yourself...but IMO this was pure filth. Exploiting the families of that tragedy was completely wrong and they should be ashamed. The UN says that 3.8 million West and Central African girls are at risk of a painful form of body mutilation know as 'breast ironing'. In Cameroon where the practice is most widespread, 50% of adolescent girls in cities and a quarter of all girls nationwide have their breasts 'ironed,' often by their mothers. It's painful even to watch.
